Day 20: Happy Anniversary my love!

I remember planning our wedding like it was yesterday. Our vows were really important to me. I watched so many wedding shows to find the perfect vows or ideas for writing our own. But in the end we chose to recite the traditional vows. I thought that they pretty much covered everything important. Now, 10 years later, I am amazed at how right that decision was.

Brock and I have been together for 15 years. For the first 2 1/2 years, I think we spent a total of 5 or 6 months in the same city. Everyone told us that long distance relationships never work. We made it through and have rarely been apart since then.

I was so lucky to find my soul mate at such a young age. It has allowed us to really mature together. We have grown into adults together, made life decisions together and I think that this made us stronger. If we love each other through all of those changes it could help us through the challenges too. I could never get through this with out him.

Our love has grown to be so strong through all of those challenges. We have been through good times (Italy, a new house, the birth of our babies) and bad (death, depression, hormones). We have been through the sickness (infertility and now cancer) and health (all the other days). For richer (not as often as we would like) or poorer (more often than we want). And I have loved every minute with him. We had been planning a big trip for our anniversary but sometimes, life changes. There is nowhere I would rather be than with him and the beautiful life that we have created, together.

I love you more than I could possibly ever show you, Brock Ryan!
